Event Files

Do you want to emotionally connect customers to your brand? Then you need “wow.” Wow is surprise and delight of an elevated magnitude. Wow goes above and beyond expectations and reaches people on a gut level. Wow increases customer loyalty and creates customer evangelists.

During Ad Fed’s breakfast presentation on March 19, Jason Friedman reveals “The Anatomy of Wow,” including high-tech, low-tech, and no-tech ways organizations can get customers talking. Friedman illustrates each point with an analysis of current market trends and stories of brands that have used wow in compelling ways: a bar where you breathe in drinks, a hotel that brags about being the worst in the world, and a museum that sends a lifelike dinosaur to greet guests.

Jason Friedman is founder and CEO of Creative Realities (www.cri.com), an experiential branding and marketing company that creates wow environments and customer experiences. In 2007, 2008, and 2009, his firm was named to Inc. magazine’s “Inc. 5000” list of America’s fastest-growing, privately-held companies.

Before starting his firm, Friedman earned a degree in technical theater, and worked on rock and roll tours and traveling Broadway shows. Friedman likes to say that, while in theater, he learned more about how to create entertaining and stirring customer experiences than he could have any other way.

Friedman is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Entertainment Services & Technology Association (ESTA). He sits on the board of the Foundation for Free Enterprise, which teaches the principles of entrepreneurship and free enterprise to students.

As a recognized industry expert in retail-and-customer-experience, Friedman speaks about the subject throughout America and writes about it for industry magazines.
